Building a sport aircraft is a thrilling journey—but it’s also a regulated one. If you wait until the end to involve the Sport Aircraft Association of Australia (SAAA), you could risk delays, added costs, and missed opportunities.
Why Early Engagement Matters
– CASA rules are strict: Regulatory compliance requires early and ongoing involvement.
– Progressive reports are mandatory: These must be submitted throughout your build—not retroactively.
– We won’t bend the truth: Our Authorised Persons (APs) and Technical Councillors (TCs) are committed to safety and integrity. We can’t—and won’t—sign off on incomplete or undocumented builds.
– Going solo can cost you thousands: Industry APs may charge significantly more for a Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA).
– You miss out on a wealth of knowledge: SAAA members gain access to decades of builder experience, practical tips, and peer support.
